Valentine Supper and Movie Night

February 14, 2009

Yesterday was a very busy day. I want to thank Deacon Joe Wideman and his wife Jean for their dedication in the ministry. We had 3 in the hospital and all 3 having surgery. I was at UAB very early in the morning to be with Charlene Crouch who came through her surgery very well, the doctor said he believed the cyst they removed was 99.9% cancer free. After they took her in for surgery, I then went to St. Vincent to have prayer with Roxanne, who Bro. Joe and Sis. Jean stayed with the Hodges' Family until the surgery was over. When I received the phone call that Robert, at Princeton, had been taken in for his Arteriogram, I left and went to Princeton. The doctor said everything looked great for Robert. All I can say is God is good all the time, all the time God is good.

Remember tonight at 5 P.M. is Pot Luck Supper and Movie night "Fireproof". All couples and singles are invited.

Wednesday night on March the 4th, Brother Dmitry Kavaleuski a missionary in Siberia will be visiting with us. Please make plans to attend that night.

Awesome, no other word but Awesome. Tonight's service with the attendance of 45 was just Awesome. It started out with the drama teams performing Arise My Love and Mercy Seat. We were truly in the Presence of the Lord. A lady walked in off the streets, she said there was something that just compelled her to come in. As she walked thru the doors she said she felt the Spirit of the Lord. Within minutes she was crying and she gave her heart to God. Another lady wanted Sis. Judy to pray for the Spirit to renew her, as she started praying the Holy Spirit fell on her and she started laughing, crying all at the same time, she told Sis. Judy something is bubbling down inside me. Everyone in the house was praising the Lord.

This week has been very exciting. We want to thank Bro. Herschell for painting the nursery a beautiful bright yellow and Sis.Shirley for putting up new curtains in each of the class rooms. The rooms are beautiful. Thank you.

All the candy has been sold, making the yard sale total to over $900. The sign has been purchased and it should be up in about 3 weeks. Praise the Lord.

Sis. Marie Gothard came through her eye surgery well and is at home resting.
Robert and I had a beautiful visit with Sis. Betty Sweat.
Please pray for David Hodges' aunt who is in Princeton Hospital. She is very ill and needs a touch from God.

Today the Ladies Bible Study was awesome. I thought it would be good to get mother out of the house, so I invited her and my dad to go to the Bible Study with me and it really lifted her spirit. Thank you for your prayers.

Starting tonight every 1st Sunday night will be singing night. We were happy to have with us Jerry and Shirly McDermott, Bonnie and Bill Lykens from Pinson, Renay Hallmark for Short Creek. As the voices went up the blessings came down as everyone made a joyful noise unto the Lord.
