You Reap What You Sow
GALATIANS 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
The Bible says it, so you can count on it.
EPHESIANS 6:8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.
LUKE 6:38 "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." The world has a saying for this, "Whatever goes around, comes around."

• If you are unkind, you can expect unkindness to come toward you.
• If you are merciful, you can expect others to be merciful to you.
• If you are generous, others will be generous with you.

You cannot expect to plant carrot seeds and harvest tomatoes. It does not work in the physical realm, neither does it work in the spiritual realm. You will reap what you plant, and only what you plant.
2 CORINTHIANS 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
PROVERBS 11:24-25 24 There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. 25 The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.
Whatever you need, or whatever you desire in your life -- give that to someone else.

• If you desire friendship, be friendly to others.
• If you desire forgiveness, forgive others.
• If you desire to be loved, show love to others.
• If you desire money, give some money away.

MATTHEW 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Haiti Earthquake Update

It has been more than 48 hours since a 7.0 quake pummeled Port-au-Prince, capital of Haiti, demolishing the already tenuous existence of millions in this nation that shares an island with the Dominican Republic. The Church of God of Prophecy, its members, and ministries have not escaped unscathed. The National Overseer, Bishop Jean Claude Dorlean, although reported to be safe, has not been able to make contact with our International Offices. Five of the orphans at the Leogane Orphanage administered by the church died apparently when the Girls Dormitory collapsed. Two adult workers are also confirmed dead. Brother Pierre Richard Mirand, Orphanage Administrator, who was appointed to the post at the 2006 convention, reports that the orphanage walls, the sea wall (the orphanage is on the west coast of the island), and the Administrator's home all sustained extensive damage. Twelve of the children were injured, two seriously enough to require Bishop Dorlean to undertake a four hour journey with them to one of the few hospitals left standing on the island.
The ground is still shaking periodically in Haiti as there have been more than 50 aftershocks since the initial earthquake, with some of these tremors exceeding 5.0 on the Richter Scale. The 68 surviving children and staff are in dire straits outside the walls of the orphanage compound in a field about 900 meters from the orphanage, fearful of further aftershocks.
The Church of God of Prophecy in Haiti has been led by Bishop Dorlean since 2002 and currently has more than 75,000 members, with 263 churches and 156 licensed ministers, with a number of schools, and a clinic among its various ministries. Brother Mirand, who also serves as a district overseer, noted some of the broader impact of the tragedy, reporting that of the 11 churches in his region, only one is still standing and he is unsure of the shape it's in. Two of his pastors have children who are trapped in their school building. He has been unable to make contact with many of his pastors, a number of whom are already known to be among the missing.
The normal communication challenges experienced in Haiti have been exacerbated by the destruction of telephone lines and cell towers, and the overloading of the system by the massive numbers of people attempting to reach friends, relatives, and colleagues. Currently, the system is only allowing two minute calls before an automatic disconnect mechanism disrupts service.
At this time, we do not have detailed information regarding the status of the National Office, school and headquarters church on Dwight Eisenhower Boulevard, where conventions are typically held, although Brother Mirand thinks that this complex escaped serious damage, except for a few walls and some minor damage to the school.
A team of leaders from the Dominican Republic, led by Panama overseer, Flavio Rosario and Pastor Quiterio Rosario, have gone into Haiti to try to assess the situation and make contact with Bishop Dorlean. I urge you to call on all those who know God to pray for safety, wisdom, protection, and provision for these leaders and all the people of Haiti.

Status on Situation in Haiti, Church Orphange Update

We have received information from a Haitian pastor in Key West, Florida who was able to connect by email with our orphanage administrator. We are thankful that Bishop Dorlean, our national overseer, is safe. However, this tragedy has struck the orphanage. Five of the children have died, along with two employees. Evidently, the orphanage has sustained serious damage and four of the remaining children are trapped under the rubble and it is feared that they will die, unless they are rescued. Brother Dorlean took two severely wounded children to seek medical care. The other sixty-eight children, along with Brother Mirand, the administrator, his wife and three children are all on the street with no shelter, food or clothing. Brother Mirand also mentioned that in one district of 11 churches, nine were completely destroyed and the other two sustained serious damage. Obviously, the scale of this catastrophe defies full comprehension. We are continuing to seek information directly from Bishop Dorlean and will pass along information as we receive it. This suffering drives us to our knees. Seek the Lord and call on his name.

God's Word Acts Like A Seed

LUKE 8:11 NKJ 11 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
A seed is much smaller than what it produces.
The problem you face may seem huge. In comparison, a scripture may seem very small. But when planted, that Word will grow in you and overcome the problem.

A seed always produces after its kind.
Whatever you need, or desire, find scriptures relating to that. Then plant those scriptures inside you in abundance. Those seeds will grow up and produce a harvest of what you need or desire.

A seed is alive: it contains life.
Your physical senses are incapable of judging whether a seed is alive or not. You cannot see, feel, hear, smell, or taste the life in a seed. There is only one way to prove a seed is alive -- plant it. A seed does nothing until planted. Seeds do not grow sitting in a sack on your shelf. They must be planted in the proper place. If you desire the Word of God to produce in your life, you must decide to plant the Word in your heart and mind.

The best way to plant the seed of God's Word in your life is by speaking the Word. Hearing others speak the Word is good -- but will not produce as bountiful a harvest as speaking the Word yourself. Speaking God's Word with your mouth is essential. As we speak God's Word we are planting the seed in our heart for the harvest of results we desire.

ROMANS 10:10 For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. Whatever you need to be saved or delivered from, confession (what you say) is essential.

SAY THIS: God's Word is a seed that will produce blessing in my life, so I will plant it in my heart and mind by hearing it, reading it, and speaking it.

Update on Sister Billie

Sister Billie Brown came through her surgery with flying colors. She will wear a brace on her leg for a week, exercise her foot and leg daily until next Monday when she goes back to the doctor. We thank the doctors for doing such a wonderful job, but we give God the PRAISE and GLORY.

Prayer Request

Sister Billie Brown will be having knee surgery Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. at St. Vincent's East.

Oh what a Sunday it was in the Lord's house. Outside it was freezing cold, but on the inside he warm blessings of the Lord were flowing. Both services were filled with singing and praising our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ. The message was on Giving, Praying and Fasting with these three ingredients in a Christian's life we can live a Victorious Life. As we enter into 2010 let's look to the Lord and Give of ourselves, Pray continuously and Fast often.
Nothing is impossible with our Lord.

3 Keys To A Happy New Year
JOHN 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

1. Be thankful. It all starts with attitude. If you don't stay on the positive side, failure is inevitable. You cannot have a happy New Year without happy people. Have you noticed that unthankful people are never happy?

2. Express your appreciation. Let your love ones and friends know by word and deed that you appreciate them. Be specific and lavish in your praise and thanks. Nothing encourages people like encouragement. People love people who love them. If you want your love ones and friends to love you, the best thing you can do is love them, and let them know it.

3. Aim to please. If you make them happy, you will be happy. True happiness is never found in trying to please ourselves. Fulfillment comes from accomplishment, and the greatest accomplishment is helping someone else in their life.
