Christmas in Tarrant

What a week-end. The smiles on the faces of the children told us that they were excited about having lunch with Santa Claus. Each child made a wreath by tracing and cutting out their hand prints. Then they gathered around as Patty Parsley told the story of "The Night Before Christmas". The expression on their faces were worth all the work and preparation for this event when Santa enter the room and gave each child a little reindeer.

Sunday the church honored Pastor Judy and Bro. Robert with a Christmas love offering. And then honored Assoc. Pastor Kevin with a suit, shirt and tie and Katrina with a love offering. Thank you and God bless each of you for all you do for us. We love you.

We would like to thank all those who worked with Ligaya Hodges to make the morning Christmas program a success. Followed by a delicious lunch of various kind of soups and chili.

Thank you Sis. White for encouraging us in putting on an old fashion Christmas play. It proved to be a blessing.

Tuesday morning the ladies prayer meeting will be going to Pat (Sis. Billie's daughter) house for service and lunch. All are welcome.
Wednesday night we will be having a Christmas Supper. Please plan on attending...6 p.m.
Friday at 11 a.m. Christmas Caroling and Prayer Tent.

Happenings. this week

What a beautiful day it was in the Lord today. The singing was awesome. The spirit of the Lord moved as Bro. Larry led the congregation in "Where Could I Go But to the Lord". The "Touch of Hem" singers did an outstanding job in singing "O Holy Night". The message this morning was entitled "What Would Jesus Want for Christmas".

After service tonight, several of the people went to Springdale Baptist to enjoy some Christmas music presented by a choir from Huntsville. The choir and the music was awesome.

This will be a busy week. Worship with shoes on will go to the Manor to celebrate the December birthdays.
Saturday at 12 p.m., Santa will be having lunch our children. You are invited.

Sunday is our Christmas program. Ligaya Hodges will be in charge of the morning service, with lunch following the service.
The evening service, Rita and Cindy will be presenting an old fashion Christmas program. You are invited.

Jesus is the reason for the season.
