What's cooking "Chicken with cream of chicken soup, home grown green beans, mashed potatoes and a delicious dessert. You won't wanta miss it.

Praising the Lord

God works in mysterious ways. Sunday service was as usual, people singing and praising the Lord. That evening on the way to church I told someone "I Need a Blessing". During the evening worship, everyone sang and praise the Lord, the message was about "Praising the Lord", but God was not through. At the very end of the service, as Sister Jami sang "Look for Me at Jesus' Feet", the spirit began to move and everyone in the house began to praise the Lord. Some openly, some quietly, but we knew that we were in the presence of the Lord. As the Spirit began to move, Sister Wynn took off running down the aisle, Bro. Wynn standing and praising the Lord. Several sister were praying for one another, one young lady went to the altar and was still there when service was over. There were tears flowing, praises being lifted up. Sister Cindy said, "I love it went God shows up and show out".

Prayer Request

Shirley Galbreath is very sick with a stomach virus.
Patty Parsley is still in pain from having knee surgery.
Coline Woodall came home from the hospital Sunday and is doing well.
Eloise Bunn will be having surgery on her eyes Wednesday.
Edna Lyles fell and bruised her back badly. PTL no broken bones.
Gladys Echols fell on her face and bruised her face badly. PTL no broken bones.

A beautiful day it was in the Lord. It was good to see Ligaya Hodges back in church and doing well after her surgery and giving God the praise and glory.
Last evening was "Sing Unto the Lord", what a blessing it was to see the young sing with the old and the old sing with the young.
Saturday "Yard Sale", please bring all you "old treasures" to the church to be sold.
March 21st, Kevin Lyles will be speaking for us during the Men's Ministry service.
March 28th, Master's Commission will be ministering to us through testimonies, human videos.
Invite a friend to come to church with you and enjoy the blessings of God as they flow.

No services Wednesday night. We will be leaving the church at 5:30 p.m. to go to Greater Shiloh Baptist church for the Alabama Event "P.R.O.V.O.K.E." make plans to go. I have heard some good reports about this event from different churches over the state of Alabama. Supper will be served (spaghetti) before we leave the church at 5 p.m.

P.R.O.V.O.K.E.

Dear Pastor/Leader,
We are excited about the upcoming district "revival" service that will be in your area in just 5 days. This event is for the Birmingham Area and is called P.R.O.V.O.K.E. This night of revival will take place Wednesday, March 3rd at Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Service will begin at 6:30 p.m. During this night, you will experience intimate worship with life changing sermons, reinforced by dramas and media clips. We want to stress to you that this is not a youth event. This tour is completely different from the Hydrate tour and was designed for the entire church. So we strongly encourage you and your entire congregation/staff to come, because we know that you will be greatly blessed and extremely challenged.
