Sunday Services

What an awesome day it was in the Lord. We were blessed to have several new families visiting with us. The worship team did an outstanding job as they led the congregation in singing. Patti Parsley, Treon Jackson and David Hodges were our feature solo singers for the A.M. worship and they all did a beautiful job as they sang to the people and to the Lord.

The excitement was still in the air in our P.M. service. We were blessed to have Bonnie Lykens to be with us. Our "Discipleship Class" which is held every 4th Sunday evening, is doing well, the number in attendance is growing each month.

The ladies were busy filling out their applications to go to the International Ladies Retreat, we have 12 ladies that are going. Praise the Lord.

Keep a prayer in your heart at all times. God Bless You.

From the pastor's desk

Robert and I left the house around 5 a.m. and we are just now walking in the door, 3:45 p.m. We went to be with Sis. Robertson as Bro. Robertson has surgery on his vocal chord. I give God the glory for the spot the doctor seen and was concerned about, fell off when he touched it. Praise the Lord. The doctor scrapped a section of the vocal chord and will send it off for biopsy. Continue to pray.
When we left the hospital it was still early so we stopped and had our tires rotated. It was about 3,000 miles past due.
Later we visited with Bro. & Sis. White. Sis. White is having a hard time with her back and Bro. White is having trouble with his eyes and legs. Please pray for them. Then we continue to visit, we visited with Bro. James Benefield, who is doing fine after having surgery for skin cancer. And then we visited with Jolie Browning who welcomed us with open arms. Even though it has been a busy day and a wet day, it has been a good day in the Lord.
God bless you, Pastor Judy

From the pastor's desk

Happy Labor Day!

Yesterday was a beautiful day in the Lord. Several were out due to sickness and some visiting family during this holiday week-end. But the blessings of the Lord showered the sanctuary.
Last night we all enjoy the fellowship as everyone took part in the singing. The men, as always, did an outstanding job leading the congregation in "When We All Get To Heaven". The ladies tried to top the men by singing "The Old Rugged Cross" and did a splendid job. Our hats off to both groups. The Youth sung "When I call on Jesus" and led the congregation in "I'll Fly Away" as Andre plays the drums. To God be the Glory for the talents that He has placed at Tarrant.

Prayer Request: Shirley Galbreath, Gladys & Jimmie Echols, Delilah & Dempsey White, Vivian Tisdale, Faye Swafford, Carol Jordan, Betty Sweat, Cindy Corbin, Debra (Patti's sister), Frances Mabrey's family and many, many more.
