Five Mile Creek Festival

It was a beautiful day for the 2nd annual "Five Mile Creek Festival" for the City of Tarrant. Mayor Tuck was excited with all the different booths set up. Our church did free face painting and gave out cookies, candy and witness bracelets. It was a fun day. The highlight of the event was the hamburger eating contest. The person who ate the most hamburgers in 5 minutes won a free meal once a week for 3 months at Hamburger Heaven. We're proud to say our very own Andy McBrayer won the contest by eating 6 1/2 hamburger, boy was he stuffed. Go Andy.

God is blessing at Tarrant

God is so good. It seems like it was just yesterday that the church started talking about installing a restroom downstairs. This Thursday we are working to get ready for the restroom to be installed. The people have pulled together and have raised close to $10,000. To God be the glory. The job should be completed at the end of July.

Our youth were excited as they gathered today to go to camp. Altogether we have 7 to attend.

Thank you for all your prayers that you have prayed for Gladys Echols, Sister Judy's mom.

Don't forget about working in the "Five Mile Creek Festival" June 18th. Everyone is welcome to work and enjoy the activities of the city.

Mighty Warriors will be meeting June 25th. I believe it's going to be a "hillbilly day". Come and enjoy the fellowship.

It was good to see Patty Parsley with us this morning in church, continue to keep her in your prayers.
