The youth service was an explosion last night. We had an attendance of 45. The presence of the Lord was ushered in with beautiful singing led by Frank Cornelius. Bro. Steve did an outstanding job on bringing the message. Sister Renee's class is still growing, praise the Lord. The excitement was still flowing as everyone came downstairs to enjoy hot dogs and corn dogs.

WOW! What a day in the Lord. It might have been cold outside, but the Holy Ghost fire was on the inside. Several of the seniors were out due to the weather, but still there was a good attendance. The youth class is bursting at the seams, they were blessed with 18 in attendance, not counting the teacher. To God be the glory.
We have started back our children's church, last Sunday we had 3 in attendance and today we double. Praise the Lord.

Please remember Evelyn Mason in your prayers, she will be having a hip-replacement Tuesday morning at Brookwood Hospital.

Amanda and Daniel Snow have moved in with her grandparents to help take care of her grandfather who is in the 2nd stage of Alzheimer, please keep the grandfather and the family your prayers.

God is good all the time, all the time God is good.

Today God has blessed us with some cold weather. Bible study has been canceled due to the weather going down into the teens. We want our elderly people to stay in and keep warm. Bible study will resume next Thursday evening.

Sister Earlene went home yesterday from the hospital. She is very weak and tired, continue to keep her in your prayers.

Youth service was awesome last night. Even with the cold weather we had an attendance of 32. We welcome 2 new attendees, Mary and her mother. Mary is a special needs child who loves music and loves church. She enjoyed it so much last night that she didn't want to leave.

God is good.

God Is Your Father

2 CORINTHIANS 6:18 NKJ
18 "I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty."

I am truly sorry if your earthly father was not a good father. But there are good fathers -- and certainly God is one.

Have you really thought about what it means to have God as your Father?

Think of His power, His wisdom, His wealth. Then remember that God loves you more than anyone else has ever loved you -- even more than you love yourself.

No earthly father ever loved his children more than God loves you.

Are you living your life in the light of this knowledge? Or, are you acting like an orphan and worrying like you have no one to take care of you?

JOHN 14:18 NIV
18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

SAY THIS: God is MY Father. He loves me and takes good care of me. I am not facing life all alone.

I apologize for taking so long in updating the blog. I've been away at Camp Boothe, taking the course "Survey of the New Testament". It was long, hard, but rewarding class. But I'm back.

Sunday Morning was outstanding. The Holy Spirit was present from the opening of Sunday School, to worship and to Bro. Robertson bringing the morning message.

Our prayers are with the Wideman family for the loss of Lois Wideman, Bro. Joe's sister-in-law.

Remember to say a special prayer for Earline Garner, she is in St. Vincent's East.
Sis. Wynn had surgery on her right arm last Friday, but is doing well.
Cindy Corbin was sick with the flu, but I just spoke with her and she is much better.
Paul Sims has been very sick for the last few days. I just spoke with T.C. Boyd and they had to put Shirley back into the hospital. She is in room 684 at St. Vincent East. As a church family lets bind together and pray, pray, pray.
